BERRY v. STATE (2007)

  • She was convicted of a crime she did not commit but took the fall for the real people who needed to answer for the crime of neglect.

Lydia Berry was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison by the Chickasaw County Circuit Court. On September 15, 2005.

Lydia M. Berry is housed at the CMCF the women's correctional facility. She was convicted of a crime she did not commit but took the fall for the real people who needed to answer for the crime of neglect. Lydia was 18 years old when she was convicted of Capital Murder of her 2 year old niece who she had  offer to house to get away from a bad situation she was being sexual abused and Lydia wanted to take care of her till her mother figured out what to do about the abuse of Basia her niece while Basia was in Lydia care in less than 10 days she started depleting fast Lydia reached out to the child’s mother to try and get her to come meet her so that she could get emergency help for this child but the mother did not go get her and while the child was in Lydia care she died since the child was In Mississippi and looked white she had blonde hair and blue eyes they thought this was a hate crime and unjustly convicted Lydia she has been in the CMCF for over 17 years she was wrongly convicted and did not have adequate council and this was during and election year they botched up the case and as a result Lydia has served her years fighting for justice and to know why she was charged with a crime that she did not commit she was married at the time and they gave her husband time as well him being 12 years older than her he and his family was just trying to save his life and not Lydia we need help bringing Lydia home so that she can try to heal from the corrupt justice system that wrongful conviction her. We are asking for your help to bring her home.
